I want to share this verses about being generous since Christmas is a season of giving gifts to others. Please share your blessings by donating to the people who suffered from flood in our place I am asking in behalf of them. Any amount you spend you also enter my For The cause Giveaway. See you my donate button is in my sidebar. Thank you very much.

2 Corinthians 9:6-15 --- Sowing Generously

*Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

As it is written:
"He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever."Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

Yes it is very important to give to the ones who are not going to give us the expensive presents back.....not that I am in that category any more...you eventually grow too old for expensive toys....well the people who would give them to you maybe grow too old...LOL. I am glad God's gifts are without limit.
My compassion child has been in the flooded upper area and I know she is alive but am waiting to hear more.

Great reminder and it really strikes to heart the real basic for this Christmas season to really remember others who may not have as many opportunities as we have and to be thankful of the opportunities we do have.

When we give, the blessings we receive that can't be matched by anything else that we receive....Fantastic post!

Giving is healing isn't it? You've posted some excellent verses.

We're donating to the Salvation Army instead of giving gifts to the seniors in our life. They love the idea!

Blessings,

e-Mom

Great post. It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Excellent Scripture to reflect upon right now. Lovely photo -- reminds me of his incredible Creation and the abundance and beauty that can be ours through JESUS!
