“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” ~ 1 John 2:15 KJV

How much stuff is too much? Well, if your desire for stuff is getting in the way of your desire to know God, then you’ve got too much stuff, it’s as simple as that.

On the grand stage of a well-lived life, material possessions should play a rather small role. Of course, we all need the basic necessities of life, but once we meet those needs for ourselves and for our families, the piling up of possessions create more problem than it solves. Our real riches, of course, are not of this world. We are never really rich until we are rich in spirit.

So, if you find yourself wrapped up in the concerns of the material world, it’s time to reorder your priorities. And, it’s time to begin storing up riches that will endure throughout eternity—The spiritual kind.

“Greed is evil because it substitutes material things for the place of honor that the Creator ought to have in an individual’s life.” ~ Charles Stanley

That is so true; When we invest to much in the world and what the world thinks, we end up shifting our focus from our Father and idolizing the wrong things and placing the wrong priorities that lead us away not to the cross.

Great reminder! have a fantastic WFW!

Thank you for the reminder. We ALL need to hear that and understand that our treasures are not here on earth, but in Heaven with our Saviour.
